THE CONVERSATION WOULDN’T BE COMPLETE WITHOUT HEARING FROM GALE BURNS GREENPEACE. IN THE NEXT THREE YEARS, GREENPEACE WANTS TO CHANGE THE WAY WE HUMANS RELATE TO NATURE AND TO EACH OTHER. WHEN SHE WAS 19 YEARS OLD, SHE STOOD TO BECOME MEP IN THE ELECTIONS AS AN INDEPENDENT FOR EXTINCTION REBELLION, THE CAMPAIGNING AND DIRECT ACTION GROUP FIGHTING AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE. 

DAZE IN THIS SESSION WILL TALK ABOUT HOW THE ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ARE IMPACTING THE REFUGEE CRISIS LEADING TO AN INCREASE IN PEOPLES BEING DISPLACED BECAUSE OF CLIMATE EMERGENCIES. 

 

DAZE TALKS ABOUT THE AT THE INTERSECTION OF SOCIAL AND CLIMATE ISSUES. LINKING THE DAMAGE TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE EXPLOITATION OF UNDER-DEVELOPED OR POORER COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLES. DISCUSSING REFERENCES TO COLONIAL PAST AND TALKING OF THE WAYS IN WHICH IT HABITUATED AND ENGRAINED ABUSIVE AND COERCIVE TACTICS FOR ECONOMIC GAIN.
